The kettle is made of durable and brilliantly polished 18/10 stainless steel and has a copper bottom for excellent heat conductivity. The kettle holds a maximum capacity of 3-1/2 quarts of water, equivalent to six 3-1/2-cup servings, and has a whistle in its spout that sounds when water is boiling. The kettle's handle is made of phenolic plastic, which stays cool during boiling and has a fingertip trigger that pulls to up the lid for pouring or refilling with water.
